Acceptance of these terms
- By browsing the site or booking a trek, you agree to these terms
- HeyHikers owns and operates this website and its trek services
- If you do not agree to any part of these terms, please do not use the site
- These terms apply alongside our Privacy Policy and Cancellation Policy
Eligibility
- Minimum age 16 (under 18 must book through a parent or guardian)
- You must be in reasonable physical health and disclose pre-existing conditions
- Treks above 14,000 ft require a recent (≤30 days) medical fitness certificate
- Difficult / technical treks may require prior trekking experience
Booking & payment
- Bookings confirmed only on full payment
- Payment via card, UPI, or net banking through Razorpay
- 5% GST is added at checkout
- Confirmation, kit list, and pickup details emailed within 24 hours
Inclusions & exclusions
- Included: meals on trek, group gear, certified leader, permits, first-aid, basecamp stay
- Excluded: travel to basecamp, personal gear, insurance, tips, personal expenses

Trekker responsibilities
- Provide accurate medical info and emergency contact
- Carry your personal kit (we provide group gear)
- Follow your trek leader at all times
- Respect local culture and Leave No Trace
- No drugs or alcohol on trek — violators removed without refund
Risks
- Trekking carries inherent risk: altitude sickness, falls, weather, road accidents
- We use certified leaders, oximeters, oxygen, and satellite comms — but cannot eliminate risk
- Travel insurance covering high-altitude trekking is strongly recommended
Disclaimer of warranties
- Our services are provided “as is” and “as available”
- We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure
- Trek details, dates, and prices may change and are subject to availability
Liability
- Our liability is limited to the trek amount you paid
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses
- We are not liable for force majeure, trekker negligence, or lost personal property
Indemnity
- You agree to cover any claims, losses, or costs we incur from your breach of these terms
- This includes injury or damage caused by your negligence or misconduct on a trek
Itinerary changes
- We may modify routes, shorten the trek, or evacuate early for weather, permits, or safety
- Modifications do not entitle you to a refund unless the trek is cancelled in full
Photography
- We may use trek photos and videos in marketing
- Email teamheyhikers@gmail.com before your start date to opt out
Cancellation

Intellectual property
- All site content — text, photos, logos, route maps, and design — belongs to HeyHikers
- You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse it without our written permission
- The HeyHikers name and logo may not be used without our consent
Termination
- We may suspend or end your access to the site if you breach these terms
- A trek leader may remove a trekker on safety or conduct grounds, without refund
Assignment
- You may not transfer your booking or these terms to someone else without our consent
- We may assign our rights and obligations to a successor or affiliate
Governing law
- Laws of India apply
- Disputes go to the courts at Dehradun, Uttarakhand
- Both parties attempt 30 days of good-faith negotiation first
Changes
- We may update these terms; the latest version is always on this page
- Material changes will be emailed to registered users
General
- These terms are the full agreement between you and HeyHikers for our services
- If one clause is found invalid, the rest stay in force
- Not enforcing a right once does not waive it later
